Sarah Millar is the County Councillor for Clarendon on Warwickshire County Council.
I moved to Leamington Clarendon with my family four years ago and we love living in the town centre. From our local businesses to our beautiful green areas, there is a lot about Clarendon to be proud of. Lockdown has reminded us how important a vibrant town centre is to our community and how lucky we are to have so many wonderful parks and green spaces. COVID has demonstrated how important our connection to our local environment is, so I believe that investing in future jobs and skills needs to go hand in hand with looking after our community and our environment.
I am passionate about supporting our businesses to get back on their feet, safeguarding jobs now and for the future. I will champion our local businesses and promote innovative ideas, alongside our strong gaming sector, like green and digital enterprises, in our changing town.
I also want to see cleaner air for Leamington, with safer cycling routes for schools and 20mph/no traffic zones, like the Parade, in consultation with residents and businesses.
It’s an honour to use the experience I have gained backing businesses at the Confederation of British Industry and in addressing the climate emergency in the United Nations negotiations to serve Clarendon residents as your County Councillor.
